Job summary

ABB in Cleveland, OH seeks a Project Engineer to serve as technical lead for Process Automation projects across Renewable, Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Power sectors in the US and globally. You will deliver technical guidance, cost estimates, and deliverables for proposals while ensuring safety and quality adherence.

The role reports to Engineering Manager I, with on-site work in Cleveland and occasional travel. Strong communication and DCS experience are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field as listed.
2–5+ years of engineering experience with Distributed Control Systems.
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow workplace guidelines.
Fluent English reading/writing/speaking.

Responsibilities

Lead and/or act as design authority for Process Automation projects.
Provide technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals.
Develop and review standard processes, tools, and techniques.
Create work plans and budgets; perform risk assessments.
Support contract managers on scope changes and cost impacts.
Travel up to 25% for customer sites and projects.
