Job summary

EVONA in San Francisco seeks a hands-on Mixed-Signal Engineer to bridge photonic front ends with digital processing. You’ll design high‑speed analog/digital interfaces, TIAs, and drivers for optical systems in demanding environments.

You'll own board bring‑up, lab characterization, and FPGA interfacing, with 4+ years in mixed‑signal HW, experience with JESD204/SerDes, PLLs and power integrity. A hybrid work setup in SF is available.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of mixed-signal hardware development experience.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (JESD204, SerDes) and FPGA interfacing.
• Proficiency in analog fundamentals including noise, TIAs, PLLs, clocking and power design.

Responsibilities

• Design mixed-signal schematics and PCBs for high-speed communications hardware.
• Develop high-speed ADC/DAC chains, TIAs, drivers, bias supplies and clocking architectures.
• Perform signal and power integrity analysis for multi-GHz analog and high-speed digital interfaces.
• Develop precision analog control loops for optical hardware.
• Own board bring-up, debugging and characterization in the lab.
• Verify noise, bandwidth and linearity against system-level performance requirements.
• Interface high-speed data converters with FPGAs.
• Collaborate on or directly develop RTL for data capture, calibration and real-time control.
• Design for reliability, derating and demanding environmental conditions.
• Support EMC/EMI and environmental qualification.
