Washington State University is inviting applications for a Grants & Contracts Administrator within the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, Office of Research, on the Spokane campus.

The role leads complex sponsored project fiscal activities across the grant lifecycle, collaborating with faculty researchers and PIs to provide budget planning and award management expertise. Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree with accounting or budgeting coursework, plus experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 18 quarters or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
• Two years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of federal, state and sponsor regulations pertaining to grants.
• Experience in research operations or grants administration.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex post-award fiscal activities and budget planning.
• Manage subawards, no-cost extensions, and award renewals.
• Reconcile contract language with award data in Workday.
• Provide narrative on account health for PIs and make adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with sponsors, PIs, department admins, and central offices.
