Job summary

The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers in Boston seeks a Grant Accountant to manage financial accounting, billing, and grant compliance across multiple agreements.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Grants, Contracts, and Billing, you will monitor expenditures, prepare invoices, and ensure accurate reporting to funders while upholding GAAP and internal controls. This role offers a hybrid work schedule with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with at least two years' experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and grants management.
• Experience with grant accounting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grant and contract accounting records per GAAP and policies.
• Review and reconcile grant expenditures, revenue, and receivables.
• Prepare and submit invoices, reimbursement requests, and financial reports.
• Ensure expenditures are billed in accordance with budgets and funding terms.
• Monitor receivables and billing schedules for timely collections.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and reconciliations.
• Identify and escalate accounting discrepancies and financial risks to Finance leadership.
• Review subrecipient budgets and reimbursement requests for compliance.
• Provide financial guidance to program staff on grant expenditures and reporting deadlines.
