MassHire Merrimack Valley Workforce Board is seeking a Grants Accountant to manage all accounting functions for a multi-million dollar fiscal operation. The role supports funders, partners, sub-recipients and contractors with precise reporting and compliance.

The position requires a degree in accounting and 2+ years of related experience, with preference for nonprofit or government grant experience; hybrid work arrangements and generous benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or a related field with 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with grant accounting in non-profit/government settings preferred.
• Automated accounting software experience; CORI/background check required.

Responsibilities

• Review staff time sheets and attendance; calculate payroll for staff and contractors.
• Calculate, report, and update youth enrollments, wages, and worksites.
• Batch and process overhead and customer-related expenses for approval and payment.
• Execute PO, AP/AR, payroll, and journal entries; post to general ledger.
• Record cash balances by grant and project cash needs; generate Funds requests.
