Job summary

The Investment Company Institute (ICI) is seeking a Government Affairs Administrative Analyst to support advocacy communications, meetings, and compliance filings in Washington, DC. You will coordinate outreach, prepare agendas, and ensure timely follow-up on meetings and legislative events.

This hybrid role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact with senior staff, Members of Congress staff, and external consultants.

Qualifications

  • Minim um 1 year of administrative experience, preferably Government affairs/political experience.
  • Experience with databases and online research tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and video conferencing applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Track communications with external consultants and member organizations to support federal advocacy priorities.
  • Maintain organized records of outreach and policy-related communications with GA consultants.
  • Schedule, organize, and support GAP meetings.
  • Develop agendas, distribute materials, and document follow-up actions from GAP meetings.
  • Monitor congressional hearings and briefings relevant to ICI and prepare timely summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in drafting and filing letters and communications to Capitol Hill, and prepare background materials for events.
  • Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to ensure filings are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Draft, format, and edit correspondence to ICI members, Members of Congress, and government officials.
