Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Project management skills: coordinate complex projects with formatted output, narrative and data interpretation.
• Financial skills: prepare financial analyses and cost-benefit studies with design requirements, output format and analysis of results.
• Accounting skills: record financial transactions and prepare financial statements.
• Presentation skills: strong oral and written skills for executive staff.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex accounting processes, reporting activities, reconciliations, audits, and cross-functional projects.
• Serve as a subject matter resource for government program accounting and reporting; provide day-to-day guidance and training.
• Prepare complex journal entries and reconciliations; analyze financial transactions for accuracy and report findings to management.
• Monitor enrollment, utilization, and costs of contracted providers and government health plans.
• Provide information to facilitate negotiations with contracted providers and ensure costs align with budgets.
• Monitor incoming payments (capitation) and settlements according to contract terms and HMSA budgets.
• Own MicroStrategy reports and periodically run reports for teams.
• Coordinate government plans' financial reporting with Underwriting and F/A.
