Job summary

Hawaii Medical Service Association is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead government program accounting, reporting, and analytics. This role focuses on Medicare, Medicaid and federal programs, maintaining ledgers, producing ad-hoc reports, and shaping provider contracts and reimbursement strategies.

The position requires collaboration with F&A staff and internal departments, and offers a LI-Hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting activities for government programs including Medicare, Medicaid, Federal Programs, and other initiatives.
• Maintain schedules and ledgers for general ledger accounts, reserves, state risk sharing receivables, and other items.
• Create and run ad-hoc system reports to summarize transactions in the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
• Design, develop, and implement standard plans or provider financial and operational reports in response to customer requirements and business needs.
• Lead, coordinate, and participate in projects; document analyses and decisions; improve workflow processes.
• Validate and maintain data quality and reporting; identify problems and implement resolutions.
• Develop reimbursement and provider contracting analyses; measure impact on costs and utilization.
