Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Executive Director of Oncology Policy and Public Affairs to lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide policy engagement strategies with global public health organizations.

This senior role will guide a small team and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to advance therapeutic area objectives across inline and pipeline products. The role reports to the Associate VP of Oncology Policy and can be based in Upper Gwynedd, PA; Rahway, NJ; or Washington,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in public policy, public health, public administration, political science, international relations or related field.
• 15+ years of global oncology policy experience with engagement with global public health organizations (e.g., WHO).
• Proven guidance and leadership to senior executives on complex policy and global health issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of integrated engagement strategies with global public health organizations focused on Oncology.
• Serve as senior Oncology policy expert and public affairs representative to global oncology organizations and multilateral forums.
• Partner with senior leaders to provide policy, geopolitical and public health expertise for enterprise strategies.
