Job summary

Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc. in New York is seeking a bilingual Japanese-English Global Mobility Manager to lead and optimize global mobility programs and coordinate with HR teams in the US and Tokyo.

You will manage policies, payroll, immigration, and relocation, liaise with leadership and external providers, and oversee the US Global Mobility team. This role requires strong confidentiality, cross-cultural collaboration, and HRIS experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced Japanese language proficiency.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in HR/Global Mobility.
• Experience with HRIS systems, payroll, accounting, and tax.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR/payroll applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of global mobility: policies, allowances, payroll, benefits, taxes, immigration, and relocation.
• Liaise with senior leadership, ex-pats, local staff, managers, and external stakeholders.
• Optimize Global Mobility operations with Tokyo GHR and regional teams.
• Oversee full lifecycle of international assignments, including relocation and tax filing.
• Lead US Global Mobility team through regular meetings and career development.
• Manage relationships with external service providers for mobility-related services.
• Collaborate with Legal Department on immigration policies.
