Job summary

Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc. in New York seeks a bilingual Japanese-English Global Mobility Manager to lead and support global mobility operations for DCMA and affiliates. The role serves as a liaison among HR teams in the U.S.

and Tokyo, managers, assignees, and external providers, applying knowledge of accounting, HRIS, and mobility practices. Responsibilities include managing mobility policies, immigration, relocation, payroll and taxes, and overseeing the US Global Mobility team.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant HR/global mobility experience.
• Advanced Japanese language proficiency.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, accounting, and tax.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll applications.
• Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
• Ability to communicate across levels and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of global mobility: policies, allowances, payroll, benefits, taxes, immigration, and relocation.
• Liaise with senior leadership, assignees, managers, and external service providers related to global mobility.
• Optimize Global Mobility operations, including updating policies and procedures with Tokyo GHR and regional teams.
• Responsible for the full lifecycle of international assignments, including relocation, immigration, and payroll tax filing.
• Oversee US Global Mobility team by hosting frequent meetings and mentoring team members.
• Manage relationships with external service providers for payroll, tax, immigration, relocation, and benefits.
• Manage firm-wide immigration policies and procedures in collaboration with Legal Department.
