Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is seeking a Sr. Global Mobility Specialist to lead end-to-end mobility programs, including immigration, relocation, compensation, benefits, tax, payroll, onboarding, and vendor management.

This hybrid role is based at the Houston, TX HQ in the Galleria District. The role requires bilingual English/Japanese communication, strong stakeholder management, and experience coordinating with Japan HQ and affiliates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, International Relations, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least seven (7) years of HR experience, including at least four (4) years in global mobility, expatriate programs, international assignments, or immigration.
• Advanced working knowledge of global mobility practices, immigration coordination, relocation, tax coordination, and compensation considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end administration of expatriate, rotational, international hire, and short/long-term mobility programs.
• Serve as senior point of contact for employees, managers, HR partners, and affiliates on mobility policies and processes.
• Assess complex mobility cases and recommend policy exceptions to HR leadership.
