Ford Design Technical Operations (DTO) turns design vision into reality through detail and the art of the possible. The Global Design Delivery Project Manager is critical to delivering quality Ford designs by defining governance, timing, and cross‑functional alignment for appearance approvals and executive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial design, transportation design, mechanical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, program management, product development, or business operations.
• Ability to manage complex, cross-functional work with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience with Executive leaders.
• Familiarity with vehicle development processes and GPDS milestones.
• Experience leading decisions on complex products and presenting in ELT forums.
• Big-picture mindset with passion for innovative products.
• Experience working with Design, Engineering, Product Development, or similar creative/technical org.
• Familiarity with Design studio procedures and appearance development/approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global Design Studio Appearance Approval governance process including QOS, templates, cadence, reviews, and archiving.
• Partner with Design leadership to define approval pathways, decision points, roles and escalation across Global programs.
• Create, update and manage agendas and outcomes for all Global Studio executive presentations.
• Manage and integrate Design timing, milestones, deliverables and approval requirements across all vehicle programs.
• Create space for Design input into cross-functional program timing and ensure proposed recommendations incorporate Design requirements.
• Plan and facilitate senior-level Appearance Approval forums with clear context and decisions.
• Represent Global Design in governance forums and ensure Design input in enterprise templates and plans.
• Develop lookahead visibility of key Design milestones and approvals to support leadership decisions.
• Mentor DTO Program PMAs on Design QOS processes and deliverables.
