Ford is seeking a Chief Designer - Experience to lead a multi-disciplinary design team and guide strategic direction for a brand domain. You will drive customer-centered innovation across physical and digital experiences, aligning design with business goals and technology opportunities.

You will influence product vision, roadmaps, and decisions, partnering with Design, Marketing, Technology, and CX to deliver scalable, cohesive experiences that delight users. Hybrid leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field required.
• 10+ years work experience (8 years with a Master’s).
• 5+ years applying human-centered design across physical and digital touchpoints.
• 4+ years leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Ability to align hardware, software, and service into a cohesive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic briefs and lead project execution.
• Oversee end-to-end experiences within the domain.
• Be a hands-on leader during ideation and co-creation sessions.
• Foster a visionary Ford Design culture.
• Represent the Experience Design function across departments.
• Influence product vision and strategy.
• Communicate strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
• Oversee multiple projects with on-time delivery and impact.
• Identify opportunities for business value through design.
