Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Chief Designer - Experience to lead a multi-disciplinary design team, guiding strategic direction across physical and digital touchpoints. You will translate customer insights and business goals into cohesive experiences while partnering with Design, Marketing, Technology, and program management across Ford.

You will apply human-centered design methods, steer roadmaps, and influence product vision, roadmaps, and decisions at a leadership level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of work experience (8 years with a Master’s degree).
• 5+ years applying human-centered design methods across physical and digital touchpoints.
• 4+ years leading multidisciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary design team and own a specific brand domain.
• Drive strategic design direction and translate business goals into experiences.
• Partner with Ford Design, Marketing, Technology, PM, CX and business units to align on vision.
• Guide teams through ideation, visualization, prototyping, and product release.
