Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; higher degree preferred.
• Insurance Adjuster license within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Prior claim handling or insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of low-to-moderate complexity commercial claims per company protocols.
• Interact professionally with insureds, claimants and partners to provide updates and responses.
• Verify coverage and establish reserves by reviewing policy language and guidelines.
• Investigate to determine liability and settlements; take statements and consult experts as needed.
• Collaborate with internal/external resources to facilitate best claim outcomes.
• Authorize disbursements within authority limits and escalate as appropriate.
• Develop ability to manage expenses by timely resolution and resource oversight.
• Identify subrogation, salvage, or fraud opportunities and refer for further investigation.
• Maintain compliance with state/local regulatory requirements.
