Job summary

Xcel Energy in the United States is offering a summer internship in the Gas Control area, supporting SCADA field equipment and reporting tools. The role provides exposure to SCADA systems and related maintenance tasks within a hybrid work environment.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience with databases and SQL, and contribute to the development and maintenance of SCADA HMI. The program starts May 31, 2027 and may extend based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) in-person per hybrid policy.

• Password Maintenance
• Patch Maintenance
• Pulling of records for regulatory requirements
• Troubleshooting communications to field instruments
