Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is looking for part-time Funeral Service Instructors to teach on-site at the Bridgewater Campus. Instructors will utilize hyflex technology for courses during the Spring semester.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, ABFSE accreditation and three years of relevant experience. Teaching responsibilities include providing instruction, assessing student outcomes, and maintaining attendance records.

The position is non-benefited with compensation based on the DCE PayScale.

Qualifications

• Current and active licenses with Massachusetts’s Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.
• Three years of current practice experience in funeral service.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in traditional and non-traditional learning modes.
• Select and develop materials and technology for class use.
• Assess student progress related to defined outcomes.
• Maintain attendance and learner records.

Skills

Skill in implementing active and collaborative learning strategies

Skill in measuring student learning outcomes

Ability to teach using hyflex technology

Education

Bachelor’s degree

Graduate of an ABFSE accredited funeral service program

Master’s degree (preferred)
