Job summary

Pierce Mortuary Colleges seeks a Funeral Service Instructor to provide engaging instruction for on-campus and online students. You will develop syllabi, align courses with PMC criteria, and assess student progress under the Academic Dean's supervision.

The role requires Monday–Friday availability, strong communication, and a commitment to diversity. You will support clinical labs and contribute to maintaining high standards of student success and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Graduate of ABFSE-accredited funeral service program.
• Current Texas Funeral Director and embalmer licenses.
• Two years’ experience in funeral service education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develops the syllabus for each course assigned based on Pierce Mortuary College criteria.
• Teaches the depth and scope of class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog.
• Prepare and grades examinations based upon course objectives and published exam schedule.
• Implement evaluation for outcomes assessment and achieve established results.
• Assist on campus with clinical and restorative arts labs.
• Maintain attendance records and submit final grades on time.
• Attend faculty meetings and college events as required.
