Job summary

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities seeks a Forensic Psychologist for Community Forensic Services. The role involves outpatient evaluations, supervision, and involvement with both juvenile and adult forensic matters across Georgia.

Telework is possible within the state as part of a flexible outpatient program. Candidates must hold a Doctorate in psychology, be licensed in Georgia, and have at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA‑accredited program.
• Current Georgia license to practice psychology.
• One year of experience at Psychologist 1 (HCP140) or equivalent.
• Preferred: inpatient experience and criminal forensic focus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face forensic mental health evaluations (competency, criminal responsibility, violence risk).
• Prepare reports and provide expert testimony.
• Engage in data collection and analysis; supervision and training of staff.
