Job summary

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) seeks a skilled Forensic Psychologist for outpatient/community services. The role involves tele-working across Georgia, performing competency and criminal responsibility evaluations, and preparing expert reports for court proceedings.

Under supervision, you will contribute to forensic evaluations, testify as needed, and may supervise trainees.

Qualifications

• APA-accredited doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology.
• Current Georgia license to practice psychology.
• One year of experience at Psychologist 1 level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform face-to-face forensic mental health evaluations to determine competency, criminal responsibility, and violence risk.
• Prepare reports and provide expert testimony when required.
• Participate in data collection, analysis, and supervision as assigned.
• Travel to various areas of the state as needed.
