Job summary

State of Georgia's Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow for a 1-year forensic fellowship. You will conduct court-ordered evaluations, provide supervised clinical and forensic services, and assist with reports for Georgia's courts under the supervision of licensed forensic psychologists.

There is potential for a second year and/or permanent employment with pay increase upon licensure.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA‑accredited program.
• Completion of an APA‑approved psychology internship.
• Forensic psychology competence and willingness to provide court testimony when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct court-ordered evaluations for competency and insanity issues.
• Provide clinical and forensic services to individuals involved with the legal system.
• Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and, as needed, testify in court.
