Placements24 is seeking a Fitness Centre Operations Manager to lead a premium facility in Centurion, Gauteng. This hybrid role blends on-site management with strategic remote planning to ensure top-tier member experiences and revenue growth.

You will manage staff, optimize operations, and implement programs aligning with health and wellness goals, while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in fitness centre management or similar health & wellness role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills are essential.
• Understanding of membership sales, personal training, and group fitness programming.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Financial acumen with budgeting, P&L management & revenue forecasting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for fitness facilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends, in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fitness centre operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety and member satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, and schedule fitness staff including trainers and front desk staff.
• Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and member experience.
• Manage budgets, expenses, and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor equipment inventory and arrange maintenance as needed.
• Develop marketing strategies to attract and retain members.
• Handle member inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments for integrated service delivery.
• Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative programs.
