The Connecticut Department of Public Health in Hartford is seeking a Fiscal/Administrative Manager 1 to lead budgeting and fiscal operations for state-appropriated funds. You will oversee budgeting development, monitor financial performance, and coordinate with program areas on budget planning.

This hybrid role is based in Hartford and open to current State of Connecticut employees only.

Qualifications

• Nine years in fiscal/administrative roles with at least one year in accounting.
• One year supervising professional staff.
• Strong knowledge of public administration, government budgeting, and accounting principles.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial and statistical reports and use EDP systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience interpreting and applying state and federal fiscal regulations.
