Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or in Engineering Technology or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire protection designs including water supply, hydraulics, sprinkler systems and alarms.
• Act as QFPE for federal projects and perform life safety analyses.
• Review designs for compliance with NFPA, UFC and local regulations.
• Create fire protection and life safety evaluations such as egress and hazard analyses.
• Evaluate systems using HydraCAD, HydraCALC or similar software.
• Collaborate with sales to respond to proposals and client RFPs.
• Meet with clients to review current and future design needs.
• Perform site assessments and mentor junior staff.
