Job summary

Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) seeks a detail-oriented Financial Reporting Analyst to support the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings for registered investment companies and mutual funds. This role focuses on financial reporting, fund expense analysis, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure accuracy, review statements for GAAP/SEC alignment, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years mutual fund accounting or related investment fund experience.
• 1-2 years financial reporting experience.
• Knowledge of mutual fund financial statements, fund expenses, and regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with GAAP, Regulation S-X, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience with EDGAR, Merrill Reports, Eagle, or similar fund accounting/reporting systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual, semi-annual, and quarterly financial statements and regulatory filings for mutual funds.
• Review fund expenses, accruals, and adjustments to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare fund expense reports, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with board reporting packages and procedure manuals.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP, SEC regulations, and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
• Monitor reporting deadlines and coordinate workflows with internal teams.
• Support financial reporting process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Review work completed by junior team members as needed.
• Assist with special projects and additional reporting requirements.
