Beard Roofing is hiring a Financial Controller in Westfield, IN for a full-time hybrid role. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, close processes and prepare accurate financial statements.

The position covers budgeting, forecasting, treasury management and financial reporting to support strategic decisions across divisions. You will reconcile accounts, review invoices, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors, and supervise payroll.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience in accounting/finance with a strong foundation in financial statements.
• Proven ability to support budgeting, forecasts, and management reports.
• Advanced analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, and Google Workspace; JobNimbus familiarity is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
• Experience as Financial Controller or senior finance role, preferably in construction/roofing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger entries.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and preparation of financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and financial reporting.
• Reconcile accounts, review invoices and expense reports, ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors; supervise payroll.
• Collaborate with leadership on forecasting, job costing and profitability analysis.
