Job summary

Spectrum Designs Foundation is seeking a Financial Controller to lead day-to-day accounting in a hybrid setup (remote with occasional onsite in Port Washington, NY). You will collaborate with the COO and Executive Team to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and strong internal controls across grants and multi-state compliance.

Responsibilities include payroll, AR/AP, cash flow management, audits, and ERP stewardship of SAP S/4HANA and Prestige payroll systems while building internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Hands-on nonprofit accounting experience with grants and multi-state compliance.
• Experience supervising/bookkeeping and moving from detailed to organizational analysis.
• Knowledge of ERP and payroll systems including SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and maintain the general ledger and schedules.
• Oversee payroll, AR, AP, cash flow, and financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and board-ready financial materials.
• Coordinate annual audits and ensure grants and regulatory filings.
