Job summary

Odyssey Logistics in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Senior Manager of Finance & Accounting to lead month-end close for multiple business units and oversee a team of professionals. This hybrid role reports to the VP, Controller and requires 5-10% travel.

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business management is required, with CPA preferred and 7+ years of relevant experience in accounting. Proficiency in Oracle and Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management is required.
• Seven+ years of accounting experience are required.
• Public and private accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in transportation or logistics is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Oracle finance is preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct reporting employees including performance evaluations.
• Coordinate monthly close processes and timelines.
• Review monthly reconciliations.
• Assist with internal and external audits and annual budget.
• Support VP, Controller with FP&A.
• Lead cross-functional training and back-up coverage.
