Job summary

Kemco Facility Services is seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee field operations in Alabama, based in Birmingham or Montgomery. The role focuses on managing a remote team of technicians, coordinating service orders, and ensuring top-notch customer service across multiple sectors.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of field service management experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Occasional travel and regional coordination may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; PMP certification a plus but not required.
• 2-5 years of field service management experience, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or handyman work.
• Experience with dispatching, tracking work orders, inventory and invoicing in service management software/CMMS systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Excel and Outlook; familiarity with AI data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Technician management: lead 10-15 technicians, ensure productivity and safety, review timecards.
• Service order management: plan, dispatch, monitor progress, ensure 100% completion before invoicing.
• Project management: coordinate quotes, scope, and execution with stakeholders to satisfy customers.
• Customer service: communicate with clients, monitor requests, onboarding of new customers.
• Safety compliance: ensure PPE, equipment, training, and incident reporting.
• Documentation: maintain records of service orders, surveys, checklists, and communications.
• Inventory management: track tools and parts, replenish as needed.
• Training and development: stay current with industry trends and assign training.
