Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will utilize their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. This is a Hybrid Position with three (3) days in the office and two (2) days working from home.

Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities:

1. Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer.
2. Assist lawyers in preparing for trial by organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting legal research, and coordinating witnesses.
3. Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and conducting legal research.
4. Manage law office activities such as drafting subpoenas and liaising with process servers.
5. Perform administrative duties, including answering phones and maintaining organized case files.
6. Conduct client interviews to gather case information.
7. Assist attorneys with case files and documentation.
8. Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case updates and changes.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of legal experience working under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
• Completion of an ABA-accredited paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary program; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Preference given to candidates with a professional paralegal certification or advanced education.
• High-level organizational and time-management skills.
• Minimum 3+ years as a Family Law Paralegal in Texas (non-negotiable).
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain automobile insurance.
• Effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email; familiarity with legal software is required.
