Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or equivalent manufacturing engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCad with a focus on layouts.
• Willingness to travel to North American Assembly plants (USA, Canada & Mexico).
• Travel is required up to 40–50%.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program, from concept to final assembly.
• Develop tooling and facilities master layouts based on product and process.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles.
• Lead virtual manufacturing assembly builds.
• Drive resolution of manufacturing issues.
• Interface with Design and Release, tool design, and facilities activities.
• Develop formal assembly process layouts in AutoCad.
• Lead facilities tooling specification purchase, installation, start-up, and commissioning at the assembly site.
• Track all open facilities, tooling, and process issues and drive to closure including meeting exit criteria.
• Prepare management presentations.
• Drive quality, cost, layout, and labor improvements.
• Support new model launches; extensive travel during launches.
