Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an Experience Designer II who will create visual design comps, wireframes, prototypes, and evaluative research artifacts aligned with user and business requirements. You will report to the Director of Experience Design, Customer Experience, and contribute to shaping the end-to-end omnichannel journey.

The role supports a flexible, hybrid schedule with 3 in-person days at Chicago locations and 2 remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• 3+ years in ecommerce or digital agency as a product designer, user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role
• Proficiency using modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Strong attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Produce design artifacts-including high fidelity comps, wireframes, journey maps, prototypes, and front end annotations-aligned with brand standards, design system guidelines, experience principles, and WCAG 2.0 accessibility requirements.
• Support discovery and evaluative research activities; incorporate insights and feedback into design artifacts and iterations with guidance as needed.
• Apply a strong foundational understanding of user centered design methods and bring a developing point of view to product discovery within an assigned area of focus.
• Partner closely with engineers to ensure accurate, high quality implementation of design solutions.
• Contribute to service and systems design efforts, including ecosystem mapping and service blueprints that connect frontstage and backstage experiences.
• May be called upon to support critical escalations and must be available during urgent IT incidents as needed.
