Job summary

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking an AV/Events Technician to support critical educational, healthcare, and institutional events. You will manage virtual and hybrid productions, configure AV gear, and provide real-time technical support to presenters and staff.

You will collaborate with campus partners to continuously improve virtual experiences, maintain equipment, and stay updated on new conferencing technologies to ensure high-quality broadcasts and seamless events.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: 2 years of trade school with 2 years of experience OR High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience.
• Associate Degree in related field preferred.
• One-year experience in related field preferred.
• One-year experience in educational/medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and produce high-quality virtual and hybrid events by interpreting event schedules and building, monitoring, and supporting video conferencing solutions across multiple campuses.
• Manage multiple concurrent events while effectively prioritizing tasks and maintaining exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot audiovisual (AV) and video conferencing equipment to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Provide real-time technical support and problem resolution for live events, serving as a trusted resource for presenters, faculty, staff, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with campus partners to plan, execute, and continuously improve virtual communication and event experiences.
• Maintain, organize, and optimize workstation and AV equipment to support reliable, professional-quality video conferences and broadcasts.
• Monitor event performance and proactively identify potential technical issues to minimize disruptions and ensure successful outcomes.
• Stay current on emerging video conferencing and AV technologies to enhance service delivery and user experience.
