Job summary

University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Events Manager to coordinate academic, community, and stewardship events both in-person and virtually. The role oversees campus and external vendors, invitations, budgets, promotions, and event design, ensuring successful execution across conferences, seminars, and meetings.

The position requires excellent analytical and communication skills, a Bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates official events such as ceremonies, receptions, conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings, and reading groups both in-person and virtually.
• Oversees vendors for catering, police, audiovisual, facilities management, parking, transportation, risk management, budgeting, photography, student leadership, volunteers, and outside providers.
• Manages guest lists, invitations, budgets, research, and design of event components.
• Assists sponsors with developing event budgets and supports promotions, public relations, and marketing of events.
