Job summary

Massachusetts Financial Services Company (MFS) is offering a six-month co-op in event management, based in the United States with a global focus. You will support senior event planners, handle pre/post-event tasks, and gain hands-on experience in the mutual fund industry.

The program runs 6 months (Jan 13 – Jun 25, 2027), Mon-Fri 35–40 hours, with some early/late hours for events. Hybrid work; compensation described as hourly pay in the posting, with opportunities to learn and network.

Responsibilities

• Support Event Management team in the coordination and planning of meetings and events. Primary focus will be for US events with some focus on global events.
• Event Production support including database entry to produce mailing labels, name tags, desk name plates, mail merge, shipping etc.
• Email communication, telephone and in-person interactions with meeting attendees and vendors to provide information and/or to comply with special requests.
• Work with Technical /AV Event Production team on special projects/ad hoc requests and help maintain project files.
• Learnings will include site research, vendor contract negotiation, detailing banquet orders, creating event resumes, coordinating AV needs, communicating with stakeholders, budget management.
