Job summary

MFS Investment Management offers a co-op for undergraduate students in a hybrid work environment in Boston. The program runs six months, Monday to Friday, with a 35-40 hour weekly commitment beginning January 13th, 2027.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in accounting or other related financial discipline.
• Experience working in a diverse environment where production, controls, and deadlines are required preferred.
• Good analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience or familiarity with MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coordinate payment instructions to external vendors to ensure payments are made timely and accurately.
• Prepares and monitors asset based fees, expense caps, fund expense ratios, expense budgets, and prepares additional deliverables as needed.
• Provides securities lending oversight by reviewing daily reports from lending agents.
• Provide support and review of regulatory reporting requirements to financial reporting and legal departments surrounding financial statement and prospectus filings.
• Discusses fund accounting issues with supervisors and custodian bank personnel if needed.
• Assist in the preparation of product initiative documentation surrounding fund and share class mergers, launches and closings and in-kind transactions.
