National Grid in Northborough, MA is hiring an Estimator for our Electric Project Estimating group in a hybrid role. You will develop detailed construction estimates for large scale electric projects, incorporating materials, labor, equipment, permitting, and environmental considerations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience) with 2+ years of relevant work, or 5+ years if no degree, plus proficiency in MS Office and

Qualifications

• Must have a engineering or construction management background with relevant estimates experience.
• Experience with Sage or other estimating software is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Able to work with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.
• Must have a valid driver's license with safe driving history.

Responsabilités

• Prepare accurate and timely construction estimates for large scale projects.
• Incorporate materials, labor, equipment, permitting, environmental, and engineering aspects.
• Assess risk and apply contingencies; develop risk registers and quantitative analyses.
• Monitor estimate accuracy year over year and support project budgets.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Manage schedule and workload to meet project needs and deadlines.
