Job summary

Upgrade Resources is seeking an Estimating Manager for our Dallas, TX operations. This hybrid role requires one day a week working from home and a strong background in commercial construction estimating.

You will prepare complex cost estimates, coordinate bid strategies, and collaborate with operations and clients to optimize project delivery. The role rewards seasoned estimators with a defined career path toward Estimating Manager 2, extensive vendor relations, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent
• Strong trade partner relationships
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Willingness to travel, include overnight stays, and work non-traditional hours

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
• Lead vendor and subcontractor bid solicitation, plan and specification distribution, pricing, and coordination.
• Develop scopes of work for all trades and manage interfaces among teams.
• Collaborate with operations and field staff during preconstruction to optimize build methods.
• Improve project profitability by applying knowledge of insurance structures, fees, and rates.
• Provide training and mentorship to others and build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
