Job summary

Entergy is seeking a student- or early-career Environmental Specialist to support the Enterprise Environmental Services team. You will help develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with environmental laws and support Entergy’s growth through proactive risk management.

The role focuses on sustainability goals, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement by assisting with reporting, training, and due diligence for real estate transactions, while coordinating with project contacts

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, verified by official transcript.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental laws and regulations, develop guidance, and communicate issues for compliance and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports, plans, and permit applications.
• Assist with environmental training and regulatory compliance activities.
• Assist plants in ensuring regulatory compliance, assessing performance, and developing action plans for improvement.
• Coordinate with project contacts and vendors for information requests; identify permit needs.
• Present issues through concise written and oral formats to leadership and agencies.
