Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection is seeking an Environmental Engineer Manager to oversee the Permits Section, review engineering work, and lead a team protecting public health and natural resources.

The role includes permit reviews, developing effluent limits, public process support, and program oversight. Telework is possible part-time; flexible work locations offered within Pennsylvania.

Qualificações

• Two years as an Environmental Engineer or Air Quality Engineer, or five years of professional engineering experience in environmental protection.
• Valid Professional Engineer license required.
• PA residency requirement is waived for this title.
• Valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain REAL ID or passport for this position.
• Veterans employment preferences may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Section Leadership: Supervise staff, assign work, review completed tasks, and ensure quality engineering evaluations.
• Permit Review: Evaluate applications, plans, and technical documents related to water quality and wastewater systems.
• Effluent Analysis: Develop water quality and technology-based effluent limits using modeling tools and engineering standards.
• Public Process: Prepare draft permits, review comments, support hearings, and make recommendations for permit decisions.
• Program Oversight: Manage workflow, apply SOPs, and track permit activities using required systems.
• Technical Coordination: Support applicants, consultants, and partners by providing guidance.
