Qualifications

• Two years as an Environmental Engineer or an Air Quality Engineer, or five years in environmental protection/project development.
• Professional Engineer license required (PA or another state).
• PA driver's license (Class C) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Permits Section; supervise staff and ensure quality engineering evaluations.
• Evaluate permit applications, plans, and technical documents related to water quality and wastewater systems.
• Develop water quality and technology-based effluent limits using modeling tools.
• Prepare draft permits, review comments, support hearings, and recommend permit decisions.
• Manage workflow and track permit activities using required systems.
• Provide guidance to applicants and consultants; respond to inquiries.
