Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer for our Northwest Ports and Maritime Group. You'll contribute to design, analysis, and delivery of waterfront projects, from local marinas to international ports, under guidance from senior engineers.

You will perform calculations, learn ASCE/AASHTO/ACI/AISC codes, and gain exposure to Excel, MathCAD, and finite element tools. The role is hybrid, with flexibility between Bellevue, WA or Portland, OR offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Strong interest in marine and waterfront engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office and PDF tools (Bluebeam, etc.).
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of marine structures (piers, docks, seawalls).
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specs, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and QA/QC tasks, collect data.
• Support proposals, material take offs, and cost estimates.
