Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer for the Northwest Ports and Maritime Group. You will work with a global team on waterfront and transportation projects, performing analysis and design of rehabilitation, retrofit, new marine structures, and facilities.

You will use Excel, MathCAD, and various FEA tools, with mentorship from senior engineers. The role is hybrid, with location options in Bellevue, WA or Portland, OR, and involves travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of marine structures such as piers and docks.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specs and reports.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and QA/QC tasks; data collection.
• Support proposals, material takeoffs and cost estimates.
