Job summary

The Enterprise Network Engineer I at University of Texas at Austin supports the Edge and Core Networking team to design, build, and operate the university’s enterprise networks. You will provide advanced technical expertise and troubleshooting for departmental customers while developing, deploying and operating systems and processes.

You will design and implement network solutions, coordinate with IT stakeholders, and contribute to automation and lifecycle management, with a typical 40-hour work

Qualifications

• Two years of enterprise or campus network experience, including routing, switching and wireless.
• Experience troubleshooting network faults and providing customer-facing technical support.
• Current Class C driver's license with driving history review.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and maintain the university's enterprise network and telecom systems.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Technology and units to meet end-user network needs for classrooms and labs.
• Evaluate new network technologies, run PoC projects, and drive standardization and automation.
