Job summary

Insight Global in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale networks across multiple sites. The role focuses on supporting large, multi-location environments, data center expansions, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.

You will lead network projects, troubleshoot complex routing and security issues, and collaborate with IT teams to document architectures and automate repetitive tasks using scripting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on network engineering experience across design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise and multi-site networks.
• Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Juniper, Arista or equivalent.
• Strong routing protocols expertise (BGP/OSPF).
• Design and manage large L2/L3 networks; VLANs and inter-VLAN routing.
• Enterprise wireless experience (Cisco Meraki, Aruba, etc.).
• Proficiency with enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and pfSense.
• Network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Ability to independently support complex networks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, wireless, and connectivity.
• Support network architecture, performance optimization, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Participate in office expansion projects, infrastructure upgrades, and data center deployments.
• Manage and maintain LAN/WAN environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to deploy and support business-critical infrastructure.
• Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Assist with network automation and scripting efforts to streamline administration and monitoring.
• Provide technical leadership and recommendations for future network enhancements and improvements.
