Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Brushless Motor Embedded Software Controls – Manager / Sr Manager to join the Engineering team in a hybrid role in Towson, MD. You will lead embedded software development for brushless motor control products used in professional power tools and outdoor equipment.

The role requires strong technical leadership, 10+ years of engineering experience, and 5+ years of managing teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
10+ years of engineering experience.
5+ years leading or managing teams.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience with embedded software for motor drives and IoT is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional team across multiple product lines for embedded software in brushless motor-driven end products.
Manage project execution across design, development, integration, and testing.
Provide team leadership across business and technical topics for system integration.
Collaborate with subsystem design, testing, supplier selection, manufacturing, and product support.
Develop embedded software for brushless motor control products used in power tools and outdoor equipment.
Support sensored and sensorless algorithms for motor controls.
Work with battery charger, power conversion, and motor controls teams and product leaders.
Coordinate with NPI, product support, and manufacturing to deliver products.
