Xcel Energy in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking interns to support the Northern Power Company Resource Planning team within the Integrated System Planning organization. This paid internship offers hands-on experience across planning workstreams, modeling inputs, and stakeholder materials.

The program runs with hybrid work options, requiring full-time hours in summer and part-time during the school year. Start is May 24, 2027, with potential extension based on performance.

Competenze

• Current student enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in finance, economics, operations research, mathematics, business, data analytics or engineering.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) or part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commute to the designated work location in-person per our hybrid policy.

Mansioni

• Support resource planning workstreams in NSP/NSP's planning projects.
• Assist in gathering input assumptions for modeling and prepare materials for stakeholder engagements.
• Help research cost assumptions for various generation types and emerging technologies; support data analyses for strategic decisions.
