Job summary

Xcel Energy is offering a Residential Energy Product Strategy Internship in Minnesota for the summer of 2027. You will join a team of energy product strategy experts to support residential programs and rebates, owning delivery on 1–3 projects while learning how products align with customer energy needs and environmental targets.

The internship requires on-site presence at least 3 days a week with a strong preference for local students and potential part-time continuation into the following

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Environmental Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, Communications, Management, Business Administration, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, or related fields
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate journey mapping sessions to understand how customers engage with Xcel Energy products and services through digital and non-digital channels.
• Support and manage clear project plans that guide and engage customers through purchase journeys for residential energy programs and rebates across our digital experiences
• Collaborate with technical teams to analyze energy data and understand the technical systems that enable our energy programs and rebates
• Assist with RFPs and other filings as needed
