Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Consultant, Project Manager based in the Gulf Coast region (Louisiana) to join our Capital Project Delivery Team. Lead complex capital projects from concept through delivery across oil & gas, LNG, power, renewables, and energy transition.

You will guide permitting, environmental assessments, and client advisory services while developing multidisciplinary teams and driving project success for regional clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience in consulting or energy sector.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams and balancing priorities.
• Experience with local, state, and federal permitting processes.
• Understanding of the energy regulatory environment and agencies.
• Strong written and oral communication with clients.
• Willingness to travel and driver's license.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support and help manage large, complex, multidisciplinary, and global projects.
• Demonstrate strong project management leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and delivery oversight.
• Manage and perform multi-media permitting with emphasis on local, state, and federal permitting.
• Ensure compliance with regulations administered by agencies such as the relevant authorities.
• Provide technical, subject matter, and project management expertise related to energy projects.
• Apply strong analytical thinking and problem-solving to complex project challenges.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality technical reports, presentations, and client communications.
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and business partners.
• Contribute to proposal development, project pursuits, and broader business development initiatives.
• Collaborate across ERM’s regional and national teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
